School of Rock Claremont, the international leader in music education hosted its first season show, “Pink Floyd the Wall” in September at The Barnyard Theatre Willowbridge to a sold out crowd of over 500.
The internationally acclaimed music school has only been open for four months, and managed to put on a spectacular show featuring incredible live performances from aspiring School of Rock students ranging from 8 to 18 year olds, adult students as well as the schools trusted and talented music instructors.
Among the highlights on the day included riveting performances of 14 Pink Floyd songs featured on ‘The Wall’ album including: ‘Another Brick in the Wall’, “In The Flesh?”, “Mother” and a spectacular rendition of ‘Comfortably Numb’.
The young students, the bulk of which were aged between 11 to 16 years, had guests on their feet, enjoying the entire show and impressed with a host of amazing guitar solo performances.
The next season show will take place on Saturday 5 December 2015 at the Barnyard Theatre Willowbridge. This show is titled “British Invasion” and will see Performance Programme students, plus the Rock 101 and Adult Programme students performing chart topping hits from British Rock Bands.
