The Syndicate’s racing manager is Anthony Delpech, a four-time Durban July-winning jockey

2 July 2026 – Anthony Delpech, a former multiple Champion South African jockey and a four-time Hollywoodbets Durban July winner, is the racing manager for the Hollywood Racing Syndicate.
The Syndicate will have four runners in the field on Saturday, and Delpech is looking forward to seeing his charges go up against the race favourites.
“We’re excited about our runners on the day, particularly Isivivane in the Hollywoodbets Durban July. He’s drawn well in barrier one and, under the new handicap system, carries just 52kg, which could prove to be a significant advantage.
“While he may be regarded as one of the outsiders in a highly competitive field, we believe he has the potential to surprise a few people and could emerge as a real dark horse in the race,” said Delpech.
“We’re looking forward to seeing how he measures up on one of South Africa’s biggest racing stages.”
As a four-time Durban July winner, Delpech is more than qualified to offer advice to Syndicate’s jockeys.
“Whenever our Syndicate jockeys ride our horses, I always make a point of sharing my insights and advice. Together, we analyse the race in detail, looking at factors such as the pace, the likely dangers in the field, and the best tactical position for the horse. It’s important that everyone is on the same page and understands the race plan before going out onto the track,” said Delpech.
“For younger jockeys, my advice is always the same: work hard, stay dedicated and never stop learning. The more effort you put into your craft, the more you will get out of it.
“I encourage them to study the top jockeys, watch their races closely and learn from their experience. Passion for the sport, combined with a willingness to improve, is what ultimately leads to success.”
