In the bigger picture, Lucinda exemplifies how tennis connects players of all ages, transitioning from star athlete to beloved coach. In her youth, she trained at USA academies. In 1995, she became South Africa’s No. 1 in women’s singles and doubles. She offers over 20 years of coaching experience at Roy Emerson Tennis Camps in Switzerland. For the past nine years, Emerson’s camps have been officially ranked No. 1 globally in the Tennis Resorts Online (TRO) Top Tennis Camps. Lucinda currently inspires players of all ages and levels at the Fresnaye Tennis Club. She is a certified padel coach and, alongside Jackie Booth, holds multiple national championship titles. Lucinda’s story highlights sport’s enduring impact on personal development and community engagement, inspiring both aspiring athletes and seasoned players.
