Win Magnum Mile tickets for Kenilworth

Two sets of double tickets for the inaugural Magnum Mile, proudly sponsored by Magnum Cream Liqueur, are up for grabs.

The Magnum Mile, brought to you by The Westside Distillery’s Magnum Cream Liqueur, will be staged on Saturday 15 February at Kenilworth Racecourse, the birthplace of South African horse racing. It is the latest of the Cape summer’s chic events at the country’s oldest racecourse where haute couture fashion rivals the red-hot action on the track.

The Westside Distillery’s Magnum Cream liqueur, made from a blend of the finest Highland Scotch malt whisky and Dutch cream, offering a velvety cream liqueur with hints of caramel, chocolate and rich toffee.

Expect a combination of horse racing action, glitz and glamour as you get to know the horses, place your bets and stand to win big! Show off your Great Gatsby style with exciting prizes up for grabs in the Best Dressed Competition. Enjoy performances from top SA live acts Gangs of Ballet, Dean Fuel and DJ Ready D.

UCT Remember and Give (RAG) is the fundraising arm of the student-run, non-profit NGO, Students’ Health and Welfare Centres Organisation (SHAWCO). The Magnum Mile is one of the events they run across the UCT calendar year with profits going towards their education centres in disadvantaged areas of Cape Town.

The pride of place on Magnum Mile race day will be the Varsity Paddock, a specially demarcated lawn stretch with some Bedouin tented areas slightly right in front of the main grandstand and close to the finish line. The Varsity Paddock will be for the exclusive of Varsity Paddock ticket holders on the day.

The winning tickets ensures entry to the Varsity Paddock which will be open from 10am to 9pm. Guests will have easy access to cash bars and food stalls, while in viewing distance of the action on the famous racecourse.

After the final race, expect performances by Gangs of Ballet, Dean Fuel and DJ Ready D. The Varsity Paddock will also host a fashion show and guests stand a chance to be chosen for the best dressed competition.

On Magnum Mile race day access to Kenilworth Racecourse will be via the Wetton Road entrance.
