The Easter weekend brings with it sunshine, blue skies and, for runners heading to Cape Town, time to stretch their legs as they take part in the most beautiful marathon in the world.

The Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon is back and Tsogo Sun is going the extra mile to make the overall race experience one to remember. From accommodation and meals to personalised care, Tsogo Sun will have runners feeling like winners long before they arrive at the start line.

Runners who stay at either Southern Sun The Cullinan, Southern Sun Newlands, Southern Sun Cape Sun or Southern Sun Waterfront will be treated to the best pre and post running experience, allowing them to focus on one thing – taking on one of the many Two Oceans races in the mother city.

Guests participating in the Old Mutual Two Oceans Marathon each receive this customised race experience:

·       Early power breakfast and glucose station access on Saturday morning from 04h30

·       Complimentary late check out on until 16h00 on Monday

·       Carbo-loading dinner on Friday night (at an additional cost)

·       Scheduled shuttle to registration on race morning

To further aid in preparing for the race, Southern Sun The Cullinan’s General Manager, Garry Reed, has compiled five race tips for runners:

·       Get a good night’s sleep

·       Maintain adequate hydration

·       Carbo-load – in the form of a well-balanced dinner at the Cullinan

·       Grab breakfast on the go

·       Get a post-race massage for aching muscles

Now equipped with this information, we trust all runners will make the most of the Tsogo Sun experience. Tsogo Sun wishes the runners luck and strength for their races.
