Col’Cacchio celeb chefs raise R270 000

The 2014 Col’Cacchio pizzeria Celebrity Chef Series featured an all-star culinary line-up with Mike Bassett, Jodi-Ann Pearton and Rudi Liebenberg taking part in this the sixth annual gourmet pizza charity challenge. Pizza lovers flocked to stores nationwide to sample their delectable signature creations and a remarkable R270 000 was raised from September-November 2014.

This year’s beneficiary is again the Children’s Hospital Trust and the donation is going to be used to benefit the building of a paediatric rehabilitation programme at St Joseph’s Home for Chronically Ill Children.

Director of Col’Cacchio pizzeria, Michael Terespolsky, commented, “The Celebrity Chef Series is all about contributing to a worthy cause and this would not be possible without the support of the public, our celebrity chefs and sponsors of the Series. We sincerely thank you for the role you’ve played in helping us raise over R1.4 million for charity since the Series kicked off in 2009”.
